Short summary
CafePOS is designed as an offline-first point-of-sale app. Store data, menus, orders, reports, customers, inventory, and most settings are stored primarily on the user's device. CafePOS does not currently operate a developer-hosted user account system.
Information the app may store on your device
When you use CafePOS, the app may store the following information on your iPhone or iPad:
- Store details such as store name, phone number, logo, and PromptPay number
- Menu data, categories, product images, prices, options, discounts, tables, and payment methods
- Sales data such as orders, line items, payment totals, discounts, taxes, service charges, shifts, and reports
- Inventory data such as stock counts, receiving records, adjustments, waste, expiry dates, and stock history
- Customer and loyalty point data if you choose to use loyalty features
- Staff profiles and PIN verification data, with PINs stored in a protected form rather than plain text
- Printer, receipt, language, and other app settings
Information sent outside the device
The app sends information outside the device only when needed for a feature you choose to use or for operating system services, for example:
- CafePOS Pro purchases and subscriptions are handled through Apple App Store and StoreKit
- Telegram receipt delivery sends order data to Telegram when you configure a bot token/chat ID and send manually or enable automatic sending
- PDF, CSV, Excel, or configuration sharing sends files to destinations you choose, such as AirDrop, Files, LINE, or email
- Printer connections may use Bluetooth or the local network to discover and print to devices
Subscriptions and trial
CafePOS uses Apple StoreKit to manage subscription status, purchases, entitlement restoration, and trials. The app may store trial start dates, subscription status, and misuse-prevention data in the device Keychain.
Backup, export, and deletion
You control the store data in the app. You can remove it by deleting data inside the app or deleting the app from the device. If you export files or share reports with another service, the handling of that data depends on the destination you choose.
Third-party services
External services that may be involved in using CafePOS include Apple App Store, Apple StoreKit, Telegram, and iOS/iPadOS sharing services.
Security
CafePOS uses iOS/iPadOS storage mechanisms such as SwiftData, Keychain, and UserDefaults where appropriate. Users should still protect their devices with a passcode, keep screen lock enabled, and handle exported files carefully.
Children
CafePOS is a business operations app and is not directed to children. If you believe child data has been stored inappropriately, please contact us for review.
